We Shine

You Shine

The story of Evermore

Medgar Fallon Flow woke up in a cold sweat one night.  Somewhat disoriented from a rough sleep, he rose, walked over to the sink and washed his face.

Suddenly he heard a bird loudly squeech.  He turned to look toward the patio door.  There he saw a falcon landing on the balcony rail.

Medgar froze.  The sliding glass door was open.  Afraid the bird might fly into the room, he just stood there staring at it.  The bird, head quickly shifting, surveying the room, eventually stared back at him.

The bird was big.  Bigger than any bird he had been this close to before.  He could see his eyes were brilliant, golden, with pure black pupils.

But what happened next, he could hardly believe…

The big bird spoke.

“Your sweats should be warm… not cold.  Evermore.”

Then the bird spread his wings and flew away.  Medgar ran out onto the balcony just in time to see, the sun rise again.

The End.
